Former Belle

New Track: "Honeymoon" - Spirit Haus

Warm keys soften the percussive, head-throbbing blow in “Honeymoon,” the latest from Bruno Catrambone (CRUISR), a.k.a. Spirit Haus. While instrumentally pillowy and comforting, the song digs into the dark elements of one’s mind. Lyrically, the song touches on lingering, emotional distress. While the exact cause isn’t revealed, the presence of anguish persists.

New Music Video: "A Beautiful One" - Former Belle

Zooming in from a universal perspective down to ground level, Jon Lewis creates a simple yet telling animated narrative in the video for Former Belle's “A Beautiful One”. The track is featured on Foreign Bed, which was released earlier this year via Randm Records. The stop-motion images that unfold carry a natural, nostalgic air as Bruno Catrambone (CRUISR) spends quality time in nature with his dog. However, that meteor at the start of the visual excursion provides for an explosive twist at the conclusion.

Weekend Warrior, April 29 - May 1

The Lawsuits have been on the road with labelmate Former Belle in support of their forthcoming album Moon Son, due out May 13 via Randm Records. For the follow-up to Cool Cool Cool, the band has taken what its has learned from the experience of recording with Bill Moriarty (Dr. Dog, Man Man), and set sail on its own, experimenting and self-producing the new release. But don’t fret; the beloved folk-tinged pop ditties still remain true to the group’s core. Former Belle will be warmed up from tour, providing a polished sheen to the intimate songs from his new album Foreign Bed. Foxtrot & the Get Down will provide the spark needed to get this evening going. The Foundry, 1000 Frankford Ave., 9pm, $10, 21+ (Photo by Ed Newton) - H.M. Kauffman

New Former Belle EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Having been delayed because of continual touring as a band member of CRUISR, Bruno Catrambone has finally found some time during the indie-pop outfit's lull in shows to finish up his latest effort, Foreign Bed, for his acoustic folk-pop project Former Belle. The six-song EP is now available via Randm Records, and you can stream and purchase it below. Former Belle will also be heading out on a mini-tour next week in support of the new album with The Lawsuits, which will find them back in Philly on Friday, April 29 at The Foundry.

New Track: "I Woke Up In Chicago" - Former Belle

The hushed vulnerability of Bruno Catrambone’s vocals is welded with the warm, soft touch of keys and acoustic guitar, developing an earnest sense of yearning reminiscent to Bright Eyes, in Former Belle's latest single, “I Woke Up In Chicago”. The song is featured on the band’s forthcoming EP Foreign Bed, which was composed in segments during his time off from CRUISR shows, and will be released on April 8 via Randm Records. Former Belle will be also be performing at The Foundry on Friday, April 29 with The Lawsuits and Foxtrot and the Get Down. (Photo by Carolyn Lederach)
