Jaunt - Jangle Pop Rocker's New Single "Machined"

Hamilton jangly-pop rockers Jaunt are back with a brand new tune “Machined”. This tune has a softer feel with more electronic influences than I have heard from them before. Less Demarco and more Homeshake this time around. According to the band this song is about “recalling a memory you’d like to forget, over-analyzing to the point of uncertainty.” Which is something I think we can all relate to. This is a very interesting track with different influences flowing in and out as the song progresses. Jaunt plays Call the Office in London on November 16th for Mauno’s Release Party. – Kris Gies

Hamilton jangle-poppers Jaunt have released a new track from their upcoming EP. "Hello" is a quick alt-pop tune with high end vocals laying quite comfortably over some jangly guitars. The whole tune slithers in and out of your mind like a dream. It's short and catchy. Definitely makes you want to hear more of this EP which will be released in July. - Kris Gies

The Bandicoots are a talented young group comin' out of Hamilton. They started playing together in high school (which wasn't too long ago for them) and have carried their high school parties into the local bars and venues today. They have just released a new EP titled "Quarters At The Penny Arcade". This 4 track set is available on CD or iTunes. They made a video for the tune "Overnight Innovator" which has some serious Brit Rock influence goin' on. If you're into Kasabian or Arctic Monkeys then you'll dig this track and probably most of their tunes. The Bandicoots will be doing an EP Release Party this Friday June 3rd at This Ain't Hollywood in Hamilton. Jaunt and the White Crowleys are also on the bill. - Kris Gies
