New Video: Sunday Video (Rookie) - Allison Crutchfield (Swearin')

Rookie posted an episode of their Sunday Video series yesterday featuring Swearin's Allison Crutchfield. In the footage, she shares why she always believes "every band she’s been in has been the one she thought would stay together forever" while performing stripped-down versions of a new song called "Loretta's Flowers," which she also talks about, and the title track from her band's 2011 debut What a Dump EP.

Swearin' Record Release Show at Golden Tea House Nov. 8

After receiving much praise for their 2012 self-titled LP, Swearin’ dropped its follow-up, Surfing Strange (Salinas/Wichita), earlier this week. On it, you’ll find a more balance of duties from the band members with bassist Kyle Spencer and guitarist Keith Gilbride making their presence more pronounced with the authoring of songs; however, have no fear, fans of their previous album - you’ll still find the lion’s share of the record featuring the works of Allison Crutchfield. Swearin’ will be rockin’ out this evening at one of West Philly’s favorite DIY spaces, Golden Tea House, to celebrate the release of Surfing Strange alongside Salinas labelmates The Ambulars and hardcore crew Bad Energy, as they prep to head out on tour again (recently returning from a European tour with Waxahatchee) towards the end of this month into December in support of their latest offering. Golden Tea House, (Please contact one of the acts or venue for more info.), 8pm, $5-$7, All Ages - Alexis V.
